Rendezvous der Länder - Neuhängung der Sammlung Peter C. Ruppert – Konkrete Kunst in Europa nach 1945

Ost – West, Nord – Süd – die Konkrete Kunst breitete sich nach 1945 quer durch Europa aus. Die Sammlung Ruppert, die im Museum im Kulturspeicher beheimatet ist, widmet sich der Konkreten Kunst in nahezu allen Ländern Europas. Bei der  kompletten Neuhängung der Sammlung soll diesmal der Akzent besonders auf die geografische Zugehörigkeit der Werke gelegt werden. Dabei werden auch die Neuerwerbungen der letzten Jahre in die Schau integriert, denn nach wie vor wird die Sammlung gezielt durch Ankäufe des Ehepaars Ruppert erweitert. So umfasst der Bestand aktuell ca. 390 Gemälde, Wandarbeiten und Skulpturen.

Schon zweimal haben nach der Museumseröffnung im Jahr 2002 alle Werke ihre Plätze getauscht. Und auch bei der neuen Hängung sind überraschende neue Sichtweisen, Korrespondenzen und Kontraste zu erwarten – als Rendezvous der Länder Europas.

Rehanging in the Collection Peter C. Ruppert – Concrete Art in Europe after 1945, from May 10., 2015

East – West, North – South – the Concrete Art Movement spread throughout Europe after 1945. Housed in the Museum im Kulturspeicher, the Ruppert Collection is devoted to Concrete Art from almost every country in Europe. In the completely new rehanging of the collection, this time the accent will be placed on the works’ geographical affiliation. New acquisitions from recent years will be integrated as Peter and Rosemarie Ruppert are still specifically adding to their collection that at present contains 390 paintings, reliefs and sculptures.

Since the opening of the museum in 2002, all the works have twice been changed around. In the new hanging one can expect to be surprised by new perspectives, correspondences and contrasts – a rendezvous with European countries.
